Product description The first question asked by any prospector at some point in time is, "Where do I dig?" And perhaps the second is "How did gold get there?" These are questions that don't have a wrong answer since gold can be anywhere from any number of reasons, rather the best answers are revealed by the light of experience.
There is no "one size fits all" explanation of how to find gold. What is true for one area will cause you to miss gold in other locations. You may very well find gold no matter where you dig, but the spot you choose affects the quantity you will find. Or, you could be standing on a bonanza but not have one color in any of your pans. Over time, a prospector learns how to interpret the language a stream speaks, and to tailor their strategy to suit the current variables present where they are currently working in order to reach pay dirt.
You may read any number of books absorbing all you can on prospecting theory and still, you will not be so sure of where your best spots will be when you are standing on the banks with shovel and pan in hand. The unique approach taken by the author does not utilize diagrams and drawings to teach you the basics nor does it follow the "how to" format. Instead, the real life working examples are given so that you may be more successful from your first trip out.

This book has been revised as of 2/11/2012, Appendices added in addition to content adjusted throughout the publication.
Added are instructions in how to use a gold pan, specific instructions for setting up a sluice, how to identify real gold from fools gold, and I added an appendix hopefully more helpful in explaining some of the principles not thoroughly covered in the main chapters. Hopefully this will prove more useful to my readers than the previous version.
Current word count is almost 23,000 words in this edition.
Version 2 is in the process of being made, it will include more diagrams and pictures, and hopefully go into greater detail regarding many of the things that are important to the prospector. In the mean time, I have decided it is only appropriate to implement a price reduction until such time as Version 2 is released. ------------------
