The coins on the side table twinkled in the candlelight sending off little slivers of light that disappeared into the soft shadows of the room. Seated on one of the more comfortable chairs in the room was a man in his early forties with short cropped hair, and eyes an uncommon but beautiful mixture of light brown flecked with dark orange. The air was heavy with the scent of rich and exotic perfumes which clung to the rich drapes and tapestries on the walls ... scents that had been specially bought by the woman who sat opposite him in the shadows of the room. In her early thirties, she had a round face, fine winged eyebrows and a square chin that was softened by tufts of thick shoulder length hair.
